FOCUS ON SQP'S

Focus on SQPs

RUMA has collaborated with  one of our member organisations, AMTRA (Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority), to find out more about the role and remit of animal medicines advisors, which are most commonly referred to as SQPs (suitably qualified persons). Alongside AMTRA, there are also two other SQP regulatory bodies – Vetpol and VetSkill.

Across livestock sectors we know SQPs are a key point of contact for farmers supporting the supply of a range of medicines as well as being the source of important advice and health and wellbeing plans.

Below are a range of articles we have worked on with AMTRA to highlight the role, remit and impact of SQPs in helping to support the wellbeing of livestock.
