Vaccine Guidelines

The RUMA (The Responsible Use of Medicines in Agriculture) Alliance has issued new guidelines on the responsible use of vaccines and vaccination in farm animals.

Launched by RUMA chairman Peter Allen MBE at the ‘Healthy Animals - Safe Food’ conference organised by the National Office of Animal Health, the guidelines come in two formats: short, giving concise information to farmers, and long, aimed at those advising farmers, such as veterinary surgeons.

There is a general guideline giving an overview of responsible vaccination for all farm species, and species specific guidelines.
